Giulio Natta and Nicolò Copernico Awards 2016

During the Natta and Copernico Awards Ceremony, XIII Edition, at the Circolo dei Negozianti, C.so Giovecca 47 – Roverella Palace in Ferrara on October 8, 2016, at 10.00 a.m., the Nicolò Copernico Acknowledgment was given to Dr. Annalisa Fortini (member of the Metallurgy Research Group coordinated by Prof. Gian Luca Garagnani and Eng. Mattia Merlin) for the presentation of the research thesis entitled "Functional characterization of thermally activated shape memory alloys for innovative adaptive structures" while Dr Giulia Farina (member of the Hydraulic Constructions Research Group coordinated by Prof. Marco Franchini and Prof. Stefano Alvisi) was awarded the Nicolò Copernico Mention for the presentation of the research thesis entitled "Modern techniques for estimating discharge in natural channels".

These Acknowledgments / Mentions were assigned to these two deserving Ph.D. fellows for their innovative Ph.D. Theses in sciences and technologies relating to the discipline of Engineering Science.
